To sign-up for an Ambassador, feel free access the form located at the bottom of the page as well as the hyperlink in the process section. Please see below for further details.

For any and all inquiries regarding the Ambassador program, feel free to contact our Director-General Senthil Meyyappan at dg@bosmun.org!

What is the BosMUN Ambassador Program?

  • A resource for all schools registering for BosMUN that eases the attendance process.

  • Personalized assistance through an ambassador that acts as a liaison between BosMUN and your school to provide tailored and one-on-one support throughout the many steps required for your school to get to BosMUN

  • A support platform aimed to make sure that schools with newer MUN programs or schools that have never attended BosMUN before feel confident that they can make their attendance at BosMUN a reality and feel that we at BosMUN are committed to working towards this reality!

What can my delegation’s Ambassador help me with?

  • The BosMUN grant process

  • Inquiries on requesting and receiving allocations and placements

  • Booking and adjusting hotel rooms for your delegation

  • Requests to change placements, delegate numbers, etc.

  • Information on BosMUN policies, including but not limited to conduct standards, photo release authorization forms, etc.

  • Help in organizing logistics to attend BosMUN, including but not limited to travel accommodations, navigating Boston, etc.

  • Direction in basic training and preparation materials for BosMUN committees for beginner students

What is the process to get an Ambassador for my delegation?

  1. Fill out the BosMUN Ambassador Form, linked here.

  2. Within 1-2 weeks, you will be put in contact with your assigned Ambassador via email by the Director-General Senthil Meyyappan.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

  • Q: Do I need to have filled out the registration before requesting an Ambassador?

    • A: Yes! BosMUN Ambassadors can only be requested by and assigned to schools that have already filled out the registration form, which will be verified on our end. While the Ambassador can assist you in editing registration submissions and navigating the post-registration form components of registration, such as receiving and paying the fee invoice, demonstrating intent to attend BosMUN is required for us to assign you an Ambassador. If you would like an exemption to request and have an Ambassador prior to filling out the registration form because you would like assistance in that in particular, feel free to email Director-General Senthil Meyyappan at dg@bosmun.org requesting as such!

  • Q: If I have attended BosMUN before, can I still sign-up for a BosMUN Ambassador?

    • A: Yes, you may. While we recommend that the Ambassador program be used for newer delegations or schools with infant MUN programs, returning and experienced schools can still request an Ambassador as needed.

  • Q: Does having an Ambassador assigned to my delegation mean that I no longer am supposed to be in contact with the Director of Delegate Affairs?

    • A: Not necessarily! While the Ambassador is there to provide you with individualized assistance for your own convenience, if you ever feel the need to directly reach out to the Director of Delegate Affairs for larger concerns, please feel free to as many delegation-related concerns are still under their purview! Moreover, in certain instances, the Ambassador will point you to the Director of Delegate Affairs if they feel your inquiry is better directed towards them. At the end of the day, the Ambassador is just there to make sure your delegation feels like they have someone devoted completely to their interests and concerns, which may or may not incorporate the Director of Delegate Affairs on a case-by-case basis!

  • Q: Can I request for a particular Ambassador if I have personal connections with certain BU students or if there are alumni from my school?

    • A: Absolutely! Feel free to indicate as such on the Ambassador sign-up form (there is a place for this) and we will reach out to them ourselves to ask if they are interested in serving as an Ambassador!

  • Q: How are Ambassadors selected as matches for my school?

    • A: All Ambassador assignments are selected by BosMUN Secretariat. We match Ambassadors with delegations based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to alumni status, regional proximity, etc. However, you may indicate preferences in the Ambassador sign-up form and we will try our best to accommodate them!

  • Q: Can I sign-up to have an Ambassador assigned to me if I am just an Independent delegate and not part of a school?

    • A: Of course! All prospective attendees of BosMUN, regardless of school affiliation, are invited to make use of the Ambassador program as needed!

  • Q: How can I keep in touch with my Ambassador after the initial set-up email sent by the Director-General that assigns my delegation an Ambassador?

    • A: After the placement email, you and your Ambassador are free to continue communication as you will. The Ambassador will respond to the email chain introducing themselves and offering their contact information for you to use. The Ambassador will provide you with the email they most prefer for communications, which you as the advisor, your Head Delegate, and any other advisor from your delegation can use for contact. However, if an Ambassador chooses to provide you with their phone number - which they are not required to do - we ask that for privacy reasons only you as the Advisor have access to and use that phone number.

  • Q: Can I request an Ambassador if my delegation is not based in the United States?

    • A: Yes, of course! The Ambassador program is meant for all delegations attending BosMUN XXIV!

  • Q: If I have complaints or issues with my Ambassador, where can I take these concerns up?

    • A: All concerns regarding your Ambassador can be brought to Director-General Senthil Meyyappan at dg@bosmun.org
