Registration Reminder Please note that while BosMUN XI registration has officially closed, we still have around 100 positions available due to attrition. Please email the Secretary-General at sg@bosmun.org if you are interested in sending a delegation to BosMUN XI or increasing the size of your current delegation. It is my pleasure to cordially invite you to the eleventh annual Boston Invitational Model United Nations Conference (BosMUN XI), hosted by the Boston University International Affairs Association. BosMUN XI will be held from February 24-26, 2012 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel in beautiful downtown Boston. BosMUN offers delegates the opportunity to debate important issues in international affairs with their peers from around the country and the world, all under the direction of some of Boston University’s brightest students. Our focus on the delegate experience has always been what sets us apart from other premier conferences on the circuit. This will certainly continue this year, as we have capped the size of our conference at around 1,400 delegates, the same limit as BosMUN X. With a staff-to-delegate ratio of roughly ten to one, several committees with fewer than thirty delegates, and our largest committee with around 165 delegates, each delegate will be able to play a major role in shaping the debate of his committee. Our goal is to make the world of international affairs engaging for our delegates. We look forward to offering fifteen exciting and innovative Specialized Agencies and Crisis Committees in addition to a more traditional Model United Nations experience in our General Assemblies and Economic and Social Councils. Delegates will have the opportunity to test their research, speaking, writing, and negotiation skills in everything from a fast-paced Crisis Committee to a highly-structured General Assembly. For over a decade, BosMUN has had a reputation for excellence. We have pushed the limits of what a high school Model United Nations conference can offer, and we are raising the bar yet again this year, incorporating such elements as a historical joint crisis, a modern joint crisis, and a highly integrated NGO Forum and Press Corps. BosMUN XI will offer training for everyone from first-time delegates to seasoned experts, making for a competitive and educational conference for all involved. On behalf of the entire BosMUN XI staff and secretariat, I hope you will join us for this amazing experience! Registration is now open under the ‘Register’ tab at the top of the page. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions whatsoever about BosMUN XI. I look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely,
Daniel Freehling Secretary-General, BosMUN XI (317) 4-BOSMUN (317) 426-7686 sg@bosmun.org |
