Dear Delegates and Advisors,
I am pleased to cordially invite you to the fourteenth annual Boston Invitational Model United Nations Conference from February 6th to the 8th, 2015! This year 1,400 delegates will descend upon the historic Boston Marriott Hotel Copley Place in downtown Boston for a weekend full of debate and learning. BosMUN is committed to the delegate experience, with a staff to delegate ratio of 1 to 10, highly developed and creative committees, and a strong focus on blending learning with creativity. Over the course of planning BosMUN, talented Boston University students collaborate to create diverse and interesting debate topics for delegates to explore during conference weekend. BosMUN is committed to focus on each delegate’s overall experience throughout the conference, as it is a cornerstone in many school’s yearly calendar and we strive to fulfill the expectations of our delegates and advisors. We will be working hard throughout the next few months to make BosMUN a truly memorable time for all.
With an international and experienced staff, BosMUN offers an array of committees from traditional United Nations style General Assemblies and Economic and Social Councils (ECOSOC) to more specific regional and governmental organizations in the Specialized and Crisis Committees. Delegates will have a chance to explore their skills and talents through public speaking, writing, and negotiating in an environment conducive to the diplomatic practices found at the highest level of statesmanship. In the General Assemblies and ECOSOCs, delegates will recreate the formal institutions of the United Nations by solving problems at the international level using multilateral diplomacy that has come to dominate the world today. In Specialized and Crisis committees, delegates will work at a real-world pace and be challenged to react to new problems facing their committees throughout the weekend. All committee sessions and social events are held within the Boston Marriott Hotel Copley Place for delegate and advisor convenience.
On behalf of the entire BosMUN XIV staff and secretariat, I hope you will join us for what is surely to be a weekend full of negotiation, diplomatic competition, and making new and lasting friendships. Registration is now open by using the links above. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in February and in the mean time, check out Bestdelegate.com’s review of BosMUN XIII here!
