Hattie Fair - Chair

Hattie Fair is a senior at Boston University pursuing a combined major in Philosophy and Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology on the pre-med track. She is thrilled to serve as the Chair for the Ad Hoc of the Secretary General, marking her final committee at BosMUN.

Hattie’s Model UN journey spans back to her freshman year of high school. After starting her collegiate MUN career in the Pacific Northwest at Lewis and Clark College, she transferred to BU in early 2024 and immediately jumped into the circuit. Her extensive leadership within the Boston University International Affairs Association (BUIAA) includes serving as Director of Events and Outreach, Social Media Manager, and her current role as Marketing Director.

When she isn't managing BUIAA’s digital presence on Canva, Hattie can be found studying at Mugar Memorial Library with her Anki flashcards and a Yerba Mate. Outside of academics, she is an avid explorer of Boston, spending her time searching for rare books and vinyl records, thrifting, painting, or trying new restaurants across the city.

Hattie has a deep love for crisis committees and is honored to conclude her BosMUN career at the head of the Ad Hoc room. She looks forward to an intense weekend of high-level debate and encourages delegates to reach out with any questions.

Aidan Sweeney - Assistant Crisis Director

Aidan Sweeney is a freshman at Boston University majoring in International Relations with a minor in Urban Studies. Originally from San Diego, California, he is thrilled to serve as an Assistant Crisis Director for the Ad Hoc of the Secretary General, marking his first time as a senior staff member at BosMUN.

Aidan's interest in the Boston University International Affairs Association (BUIAA) began before he even arrived on campus. Having participated in MUN throughout high school, he is currently a member of MUN@BU, the university's collegiate travel team, as well as the BUrbanists club.

An avid fan of urbanism, Aidan spends much of his time advocating for transit access, bike lanes, and walkable cities. In his free time, he can be found watching baseball (Go Padres!), exploring the Greater Boston area via the T and commuter rail, playing Metal Gear Solid, and visiting the city's many museums and cultural hubs.

Aidan is eager to see the innovative solutions delegates develop during the weekend and looks forward to many more years with BosMUN. He encourages delegates to reach out with any questions as they prepare for the mystery of the Ad Hoc.
