Committee Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the UN’s global development network that connects countries to resources that work toward improving lives of the global population. The UNDP can be found in 177 countries and working to better local conditions to improve global development challenges. The main focus is to help countries deal with the challenges of: democratic governance, poverty reduction, crisis prevention and recovery, environment and energy, and HIV/AIDS. Additionally, the UNDP helps countries use aid appropriately and effectively as well as strengthening human rights.
