Dustin Vandenberg – Secretary General
Dustin is a junior studying Science & Technology Policy, Computer Science, and Chinese. Dustin has grown to love model UN for its mix of public speaking, politics, and international affairs. Dustin has been involved with BosMUN throughout his entire college career. He was the Information Director for the BosMUN XII secretariat and the Secretary-General for BU’s college-level conference, BarMUN. In his free time, he absolutely loves skiing back home in Colorado. In addition, he competes on BU’s Model UN Travel Team, Mock Trial Team, and Curling Team.
Prithvi Hingorani – Director General
Prithvi Hingorani is a junior majoring in Economics. He was a Vice Chair at BosMUN XI and the Undersecretary General for ECOSOCs at BosMUN XII. He has also been an active member of BU’s MUN Travel Team. When he is not working to make BosMUN XIII absolutely fantastic, he enjoys playing soccer, watching Modern Family, and eating copious amounts of food. Prithvi is excited to serve on the BosMUN secretariat for a second successive year, and to maintain BosMUN’s reputation of being one of the best conferences on the circuit.
Nishant Garg- USG General Assembly
Nishant is currently a sophomore at BU in the seven-year accelerated medical program, with a major in medical science and a minor in political science. He has been active in MUN since middle school and was thoroughly active in the MUN community throughout high school. His particular interests include nuclear weapon technology, European relations, and the Korean peninsula. In his spare time, Nishant is an avid basketball and soccer (really, it’s actually “football”) fanatic, with his two favorite teams being the Los Angeles Lakers and Manchester United. He looks forward to BosMUN XIII after having had a wonderful time at BosMUN XII as an Assistant Crisis Director for Specialized Committees. Nishant is excited for all the great substantive debate that BosMUN fosters. Nishant challenges the delegates to step outside their comfort zone and to add new and unique perspectives to the debate. He looks forward to making this the best BosMUN yet!!!
Michelle Cedeño – USG ECOSOC
Michelle is a senior majoring in Neuroscience with a Film minor. Raised in St. Louis, MO, Michelle felt trapped within the Midwest and loved to read about different cultures and politics to escape into the world of her imagination, which led her to Model UN. Having been a crisis staffer in BosMUN X and a crisis director at BosMUN XI, and the Conference Affairs Director for BosMUN XII, Michelle has become very interested in Model UN and International Relations. During her free time Michelle loves to read, watch movies, do chemistry problems, write comic books, cook, and play outside. Michelle can’t wait to for BosMUN XIII and wants to continue the success of this wonderful conference.
Eve Krassner – USG Specialized
Eve is a rising senior studying Anthropology and French. She made it all the way to Boston from a farm in Brazil, where she grew up with lots of dogs, horses, chickens, and cows. She loves traveling, having spent her time eating gelato in Italian piazzas, bargaining with crazy vendors in crowded Indian markets, bungy-jumping off of bridges in South Africa, and struggling through the Haka in New Zealand. Model UN has become a huge part of her life, and she can’t wait for all the excitement that is sure to come with BosMUN XIII!
Brandon Tomkiewicz- USG Crisis
Brandon is a junior at Boston University studying International Relations, Political Science, and Chinese. He is originally from Western New York, where he surprisingly feel in love with world affairs and politics. Brandon has staffed BosMUN for the past two years and has grown to love it more and more each time. Brandon is really excited to share the BosMUN experience with both veteran and new delegates. He guarantees that the conference, especially crisis will be an amazing time that you will not want to miss.
Lauren Logan – Conference Affairs Director
Lauren is a junior in the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences majoring in Human Physiology and minoring in Public Health. A Cape Cod native, Lauren loves the beach, iced coffee, and playing with babies. In the summer of 2013, Lauren traveled to Accra, Ghana where she volunteered in a nutrition clinic for underweight and malnourished children. She enjoyed experiencing healthcare on an international level and seeing first-hand how global communities work together! Lauren participated in BosMUN XI as the UNDP Vice Chair and as the Information Director of BosMUN XII. Lauren is unbelievably excited to serve as the Conference Affairs Director this year and is looking forward to a fabulous BosMUN XIII!
Codie Smith – Operations Director
Codie is a sophomore majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering here at BU. She is originally from Portsmouth, Rhode Island, but recently moved to Taunton, Massachusetts. She enjoys watching movies, being outside as much as possible, and watching videos of baby animals on Youtube. She has participated in BosMUN not only as a delegate for two years, but as the Vice Chair of the OSCE for BosMUN XII. She is so excited to be a part of the BosMUN XIII team and hopes everyone enjoys it as much as she does!
Jatnna Garcia – Information Director
Jatnna is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, double majoring in International Relations and Linguistics. Jatnna has been involved in model UN since middle school. She’s been a member of the BU International Affairs Association since freshman year, and has staffed BosMUN all four years at BU. She has also been an editor for the International Relations Review, the IAA’s undergraduate magazine. During her junior year, Jatnna studied abroad in Geneva, Switzerland and had the time of her life. In her spare time, Jatnna likes to sing, dance, learn foreign languages, and travel around the world. She is really exited to be a part of this year’s BosMUN secretariat!
Young Woo Nam – Technical Director
Young Woo is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, double majoring in International Relations and Political Science. Born in South Korea, he has lived in a number of different countries including Korea, Jordan, the Philippines, and the US. He is eager to meet new people and share his different views on international affairs! Aside from studying, Young Woo is also interested in the use of new technology, and has been part of managing and creating various new websites. He has also devoted many years to MUN with experience dating back to his Sophomore year in high school.
